Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps
The objectives of JROTC are to educate and train high school students in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals. AFJROTC is sponsored by the Air Force, but is not a recruiting tool nor is there any military commitment to the Air Force. This program is designed to teach leadership, life skills after high school, and build better citizens for America.
The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, the development of flight, applied flight sciences, military aerospace policies, and space exploration. The program also is the foundation for those who wish to continue in military service whether it is at college level ROTC and then pursue a military career, or enlist in the military directly after high school.
